About iBraille
Our Mission
We empower our clients to reach broader audiences, improve operational efficiencies, and ensure compliance with evolving accessibility requirements. Our services comprehensively test Braille accessibility and usability and provide consultation on incorporating Braille and tactile design.
Our Founder
Our Founder and CEO, Mussie Gebre, discovered the transformative power of Braille after arriving in the U.S. as a child. From a humble start in a war-torn country, Braille enabled him to achieve personal and professional success. With over two decades in Assistive Technology, he has worked with leading tech companies to improve accessibility, volunteered extensively for accessibility testing, and founded iBraille to close the gap between rapid tech innovation and lagging accessibility solutions.

Our Founder’s Story
Mussie Gebre’s journey began when he came to America seeking education. Without access to print in his native language, he discovered Braille — a skill that transformed his life. Braille literacy empowered him to achieve educational and professional milestones he once thought impossible.
With over 20 years in the Assistive Technology field, Mussie has worked extensively to bridge the gap between people with disabilities and the rapidly evolving world of technology. He observed that while major tech companies like Google, Apple, and Microsoft innovated rapidly, accessibility advancements lagged behind. To address this gap, he provided volunteer accessibility testing to major corporations before founding iBraille , with the vision of pushing accessibility beyond the basics.
Our Vision for the Future
We envision a world where accessibility is embedded in every design process. Through partnerships, innovation, and user-focused solutions, iBraille is committed to:
- Expanding the use of AI-powered accessibility tools
- Leading advancements in accessible travel and mobility
- Promoting inclusive, multi-modal communication methods
- Supporting global Braille literacy initiatives
By combining technology, expertise, and advocacy, we help organizations not only meet accessibility requirements but exceed them.
